~ "Revealed..."

It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. (Luke 2:26)

Yesterday was a travel day. My sister lives about an hour and a half from me. So we packed up my granddaughter and drove to the Jersey Shore for her introduction to her Great Aunt and Uncle and two more cousins. I'm sure if Mikhaela understood, her comment would have been "More cousins??? You mean there are MORE???" They have been waiting patiently for 3 months to meet her. It was a wonderful day for all!

Simeon, too, waited patiently to meet Christ! God promised him that his mortal life would not end before he saw the salvation of Israel. I witnessed the excitement that my sister and her family exhibited at the arrival of their great niece and cousin, I can only imagine the joy and fulfillment that Simeon experienced!

We all have the opportunity to meet Jesus! We have the ability to know Him and to walk with Him, to serve Him and to honor Him. Unlike Simeon, we do not have to wait for our Savior, He waits patiently for us. He calls out to each of us. He's calling out to you! Have you accepted Him? Have you committed your life to Him? Do you rely on Him for all things?

Accepting Jesus, His death and resurrection, and all that He teaches, is not an end to life. It is not a death sentence that excludes enjoying the many wonderful things this life has to offer. It is a guarantee for the next life. It is a new way of living - which will explode into beautiful and bountiful blessings for you! It's a step unlike any other. Wonderful things happen to you when you begin to walk that path laid before you! Trust in Him - have faith in Him! Answer His calling with the words "here I am, Lord, send me!" Make your life a true offering to Him, for He has done for you what no one could or would have! Let Him finish the work He has begun in you! Let His plan for you unfold. Walk away from the madness and sadness and find the joy that Jesus has to offer you! He will take you just as you are, no need to wait until you are perfect - He will perfect you! Give Him the chance!!!
