~ "Don't forget to pack that..."

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. (Ecc 9:10)

This morning I am still on that little pink cloud from the boost I received yesterday morning! I'm still singing the tune "The Great Adventure" and I must say, I had to watch it again this morning!!! Talk about an "impact statement"!!!

We all experience valleys and mountains, we experience fear, love and hurt and anger - it's what we do when we are in those places that matters most! We can whine, complain, yell and scream (which I do not do anymore - well, the yelling and screaming anyway) and it will not change the situation. Acceptance of God's will for us sometimes is not arrived at quickly or excitedly...sometimes we go kicking and fighting all the way. I sit here and try to imagine the patience God has with me - not possible!!! Sometimes I am not even patient with myself!

Today's verse of scripture reminds us that this is it - this is our only chance to be all that God wants from us. This is what we were created for - our experiences, our determination and our passion for sharing His word with others. God's love for us WILL take us where ever it is we are supposed to be! The catch is we have to be open to receive the direction from the Holy Spirit. Again - know what you know! God will move you gently along the rest of the way. Your journey, with Him, becomes easier, lighter and much more meaningful than you could have ever imagined! Jesus died and rose from the dead to guarantee our eternal place in Heaven. What we do here (since there is nothing we can do to earn Heaven on our own), the example we set - lets others know that Jesus is the way! The labors of our hands mean nothing. The advances we strive for, the pockets full of dollars, the precious antiques we hold on to - they do not compare to the work we do for Him! We can' t take the other stuff with us. We don't even get to take our wretched bodies (and for some of us, that's a good thing). What we will take is the peace that comes from saying "I have tried". We will be looked on with love and affection. We will be spared an eternity of hell. We will be lifted up and known. We will step into the kingdom as heirs!

So, work hard now (read the word, spread the word, live the word)! Know that God has the most amazing plan for you! You may not be able to see it from where you're standing - you may have to move, or stand on someone's shoulders - stand on Christ's shoulders - He promises not to let you fall!!!
