~ "Let me introduce you to my friend..."

And you are heirs of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers. He said to Abraham, ‘Through your offspring all peoples on earth will be blessed.' (Acts 3:25)

God promised Abraham that He would bless the world through his descendants, the Jewish race, from which the Messiah would come. God intended the Jewish nation to be a separate and holy nation that would teach the world about God, introduce the Messiah, and then carry on His work in the world. After the days of Solomon, the nation gave up its mission to tell the world about God. Here, too, in apostolic times as well as in the time Jesus spent on earth, Israel also rejected its Messiah.

Although most of us are not natural descendants of Abraham (as we are not Jews), we are still heirs! We are, by His promise, chosen to share Jesus with others. We, too, should be teaching the world about God, introducing others to our Savior, Jesus Christ!!! We, too, need to continue the mission of spreading the Good News!

What a wonderful witness our devoted lives can offer if we share just a little of it with others! Think of how far you have come since the day you first accepted Christ! Think of the changes the Holy Spirit has made in you, how He has brought you to where you are today (always for better, never for worse, regardless of how it appears from where you are currently standing)! Share that testimony with others! Perhaps not so much with words, but with actions! Let others see the "new" you! Let them see the light that shines within you - the light of the world! Let His mercy and grace be as visible as the smile that adorns your face when you think of the promise you hold within your soul! Let that gentle breeze blow over you and know that you ARE chosen, you ARE loved, and you ARE an heir!!!
