~ "In HIS hands..."

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls [to him] in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. (1 Peter 4:19)

In a message entitled "Dead Man Talking", Pastor Charles Brooks talks about the faith of Abel and how even after his death at the hands of Cain, his voice still is heard throughout the scriptures reminding us what is important to have in our walk with Christ. He closed his message with today's verse.

God calls us to be faithful in all things. He has laid before us, through the scripture, what it is he expects from us. He understands that it is our nature to sin, that's why he sent his son to redeem our souls. Our lives belong to him. What we do should reflect what he wants from us. Life is not a bowl of cherries and we will not always have joy and happiness as we travel our road. He knows that too! Our lives were not designed to be "easy". We cannot do it alone! Those of you who think that each accomplishment you have to your credit belongs to you alone are sadly mistaken. All of our accomplishments in life are a gift from God.

God created the world. He has faithfully ordered it and kept it since the creation. Because we know that God is faithful, we can count on him to fulfill his promises to us. If he can oversee the forces of nature, surely he can see us through the trials we face! Put your faith in him! Set your sights on him. Let your goals be lyrics set to his melody. He will give you much more than you deserve. He will call you "righteous" in faith and bless you abundantly! Our faithfulness to him is often interrupted. His faithfulness to us never is! Strive each day to be more faithful than the day before. Create good habits and follow a routine that begins with praise and thanksgiving to the one who created you! Don't give up! Commit yourself to doing the will of God - let him be your guide and you will be led to a more beautiful relationship with him than you can possibly imagine!
