~ "Glory to God is the highest..."

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. (Luke 2:11-14)

There is no greater joy this this! Our Savior! His life on earth would be short lived in comparison to the "average" human, but then again - he is not the average human! He came with a purpose! He would fulfill the promise made to Abraham! He would deliver ALL men, Jews and Gentiles! He would redeem us through his precious blood!

Christmas can mean so many things to each of us! It can be a day spent with family, it can be a day of solitude. It is generally a day of celebration, but can also be a day of sadness. Rejoice in this day! Give praises to God for his goodness and mercy! He has given us so much more than we deserve!

Celebrate the birth of Jesus in your heart! Let the Holy Spirit fill you with joy in the knowledge that you are HIS! No matter what, no matter how many times you stumble, no matter what mistakes you make, he will lift you up and dust you off and continue to call you to himself! Let his love fill your heart today, let his peace be your peace - even if it's just for today! Remember: God has a plan for YOU ~ Merry Christmas!
