~ "Our great God..."

God thunders marvelously with his voice; great things does he, which we cannot comprehend. (Job 37:5)

Sometimes the sound of his voice resounds in the thunder, sometimes it is in the quiet calm that pours over you in the midst of insanity.  In either case, you know who it is that is speaking to you!  There are no doubts because his voice, whether loud or silent, is covered in tones of love!

All things happen in his time; when it is the perfect time for us to receive what it is he chooses to bless us with.  He knows our limits, he teaches us patience.  With each prayer we pray, we become a little bit stronger and a little more patient than we were in the prayer before it.  He's very wise!  In order for our faith to grow, there must be a challenge to encourage it.  Sometimes it is not our faith that requires the growth - it could be for the benefit of those around us, those who do not have the level of faith in our great and wonderful God that we have.  They may be the intended recipient of his lesson of patience.  When I look at things from that perspective, I can gather the strength I need to be more patient.  I remember the length of time it took for me to realize the splendor of my King!  It took even longer for me to realize that "time is in his hands".

What ever promises he gives to you, know that they are not merely "carrots" being dangled at the end of a string.  They are real!  They will be fulfilled ~ IN HIS TIME!  The hardest thing we do for God is wait!  And in that waiting - again, rejoice!  He's creating something wonderful in you; you just don't realize it!

Know that everything granted you is a blessings (whether it appears to be or not, whether the answer is yes or no - it's a blessing!).  Rest in him, knowing that he is there with you, guarding you and guiding you to whatever blessing he has in store for you!
