~ "The Night that Hope was Born..."

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord" (Luke 2:11)

There aren't too many things I need these days. I have a family, an extended family, I have friends and acquaintances...I have life!!!

When you look at any photos depicting the birth of Jesus, you see a baby wrapped in a blanket laying in a manger. We don't generally think too far beyond the image. What we don't see, what we often have difficulty grasping is that this child is GOD!!! A King for all, the salvation of the world! He was born to die.

If you take anything with you into the new year, take this thought. With all the suffering and horror in the world today, with all the loneliness and despair, with the wars being fought in the name of false gods - there is one who offers salvation to all people! That one is Jesus!!! Only through Him can you be saved. Only through His blood can your sins be washed away. Only through His death and resurrection can you live.

Offer yourself and commit the remainder of your life in service to Him. It doesn't mean you have to give up everything (as the apostles did) - it means to be the shepherds is the field who were blessed, it means the Kings who bowed down and worshipped Him and it means the host of angels singing His praises! Share with all the miracle of Christmas - the true meaning of Christmas!!! Spread that love that came to all people the night that hope was born...share Christ!!!

Merry Christmas...

Beth
