"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." (Isaiah 26:3)
We tend to get a little crazy when our lives appear to be falling apart. Our human nature takes over and the desire to "fix" what it wrong with it becomes overwhelming.
When we are focused on the power of God, the love he has for us and so readily offers, there isn't too much that bothers us. Sure, we become upset, fearful and concerned...but we do not panic, for we know that God's mercy and grace will bring us through.
Trusting in the Lord is not an easy feat sometimes. Instead of waiting it out, we want to get in there and hurry things along. That only tends to make the blessing take longer to reach us simply because what we've done to "help" needs to be undone.
Leave the fixing to one who is a master at fixing and bestowing blessings...
