Being proud of our accomplishments is fine, as long as we give credit for those accomplishments to the one who has made them possible. God gave us the talents and abilities we use to become successful. It is only fair that we give credit where credit is due.
So many times, we see people accepting awards for their achievements - how many remember to thank God for allowing that dream to become a reality? When we forget how we got to the place we are at, when we forget to give thanks, we become self-centered and proud (proud as in the opposite of humble).
