~ "ONLY by the blood..."

Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?” I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Rev 7:13-14)

Therefore, “they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat.
For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Rev 7:15-17)

I couldn't post all the verses as the status line, but this is one of those instances when you need the whole picture! Imagine John's surprise in this part of the Revelation! Those sealed ~ owned ~ washed in the blood of Jesus!

We all label our property. We have titles and bills of sale for our cars, boats, trailers, and the like. We have deeds to our land and our homes. Guess who has the title to planet Earth??? I don't think its Darwin or any of this cronies...

Possession is nine tenths of the law, right - adverse possession in common law? I think that applies here!

In this day an age, we tend to guard our property a little more aggressively than in years past. We have alarm systems on our cars, in our homes, even tracking devices in our pets! They belong to us and we want to be assured that if they are lost or stolen that we will have them safely returned to us. Well, it seems we can't claim to be the first to "tag" our possessions. God "tagged" us before our birth ~ he gave us a soul! Those of us who believe and are "washed in the blood" also have a special mark - setting us apart from others because we are his! Let your mark be a beacon for others ~ let others see God in you!
