For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Eph 6:12)
We are in a wrestling match with demons ~ although the Bible does not specifically call them "demons", 'forces of evil in the heavenly realms' could be translated into what we call 'demons'. It seems that no matter where we turn, the ungodly are trying very hard to get us off our feet, throw us to the ground, pin us and win the match! In order to be prepared for this battle, we must be in touch with God, with Jesus! We cannot defeat the enemy on our own! Only through prayer and study can we hope to win each battle. Remembering that Christ has already won the war helps! Knowing that they have some boundaries they aren't allowed to cross ensures our physical safety. Put Jesus above the hurt. Study, read and continue on. Know what you have inside!
