"So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." (Heb 9:28)
Value, in our human way of thinking, is not measured by how many can have something good, but by how few can have something good.
"Limited edition" means "valuable" because only a few can have it. God's great plan of redemption, however, stands in sharp contrast to this. We are all given the opportunity to redeem ourselves in his sight. We all have the ability to be "saved". Although salvation is not a "limited edition", there is a "limited time only" attached to it. We cannot accept this gift of salvation after we have died. It is not something someone can just give to us. It is not something we get because we are of a certain "religion". It is something freely given if we ask for it!
It is the most valuable of all treasures. The more who have it, the more they use it, the greater its value. Encouraging others to reach out and simply ask our Savior to come into their lives, just as we have asked, makes this gift of love spread like wildfire! Exercise your faith by sharing it and using it to serve God and increase its value!
