~ "God's final victory..."

The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed [is] death. (1 Cor 15:26)

Today we remember the men who have fought and died serving this country.  It is our "Memorial Day" - originally know as "Dedication Day".  We also take the time to honor those who currently serve and who have served.  We take pride in our servicemen and women.  We are grateful for the price that has been paid for our freedom.

The freedom we speak of comes in the form of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".  It's written in our Declaration of Independence.  Many hundreds of thousands of unsung heroes have gone to their graves defending that right.  Their innocent blood was shed for the continued freedom we all enjoy.

Another young man, about 33 years of age, also paid a price for our freedom.  His innocent blood was shed on a tree at Galgotha.  He was put to death for what we would consider "war crimes" - he claimed to be a King!

Jesus died for our sins.  He conquered the grave.  He rose and lives today!  He has won for us freedom - freedom from death and eternal damnation.  We have a choice.  As I've said before, we know how it ends - God wins!!!  Choose life over death, choose right over wrong, choose humility over pride, choose the truth, the life and the way!

Only two defining forces have ever died for you...Jesus Christ and the American Soldier -- Jesus's death freed your soul - the soldier died to defend your right to worship Him!  Honor what they have done, but give glory to the King of heaven and earth!!! He reigns forever!!!
