After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1 Thes 4:17)
Much discussion takes place among the different denominations of Christianity. Here it is in black and white (once again, all the answers you need are in the Bible, you just have to read it!).
If you read the words and stop trying to read into the words, you will find that God's word is sure. He answers all the questions (and I do mean all of them) that you could possibly ask if you take the time and look. We will, one day, leave this planet. Some will leave before it's end, some will leave via a pathway to hell and some will be called up into the clouds to meet Jesus and all those who wait for our arrival.
It won't much matter whether you saved enough money for a down payment on a new car, or if you owned a home furnished with precious and priceless items. What will matter is your soul. Have you been preparing it for that day? Have you encountered opportunities to spread the word of God and walked away? Have you chosen to be a spectator? There are no spectators in God's plan. We are all, each one of us, tasked with spreading the Good News through our actions and our attitudes. Watch carefully who you worship and what you present to others as your "god" - the evidence is all around you, as plain as day, and remember, you cannot serve two masters!
Use your talents to glorify the Lord, not bring disgrace upon yourself through them. Lift up your voice in song and praise of He who created you, not the distasteful antics of the lost. Satan's army is growing daily - are you standing firm on the rock? Are you listening for that voice of hope? Do you know from which direction the trumpet will sound? If the answer to any of these questions is "no", my suggestion is that you get busy putting your life in order. Remember, God does not bargain and He accepts no excuses. This may be the only opportunity you have to set what is left of your life on the right path...take it!!!
