"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. (Jer 29:11-12)
God promised Israel he would not abandon them! He promises us the same! Although the Old Testament is viewed by some as a "history lesson" - there is much to be learned from history! The suffering of God's chosen people show us that we are in good company when we hurt - WE have become his chosen people! We who believe and have faith will one day be in his great presence!
When we are in pain, when we hurt, when we are depressed, angry or even resentful - we have a place to go to be comforted! We have a direct line to the King of Kings; as a matter of fact we are IN the direct line of the King of Kings! Through the Holy Spirit, he sends his love and his message of hope. He has great plans for all of us! He holds our future in the palm of his hand. We need only reach out to him and give him our undying love!
God hears us when we pray! He listens to our words and feels our hearts beating. He wants us to come to him and be his completely! He loves us! He's not spiteful or inconsiderate and does not laugh at us when we fall. He has great plans for us, just as he did for the Israelites ~ our destiny lies in him! Let him comfort you in your time of need and thank him joyfully for it! He is the first line of defense we have against the enemy and the only way to him is through Jesus! Put on the full armor of God and be strong in faith ~ it's what he calls each of us to do! We are rapidly approaching the end of days ~ have you dreamed THAT dream? Will you stand your ground for God? Will you hear the trumpet when it sounds? Are you ready???
