~ "Don't forget to wear PINK today..."

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. (Matt 4:23)

Matthew Henry writes "Three diseases are named; the palsy, which is the greatest weakness of the body; lunacy, which is the greatest malady of the mind; and possession of the devil, which is the greatest misery and calamity of both; yet Christ healed all, and by thus curing bodily diseases, showed that his great errand into the world was to cure spiritual maladies. Sin is the sickness, disease, and torment of the soul: Christ came to take away sin, and so to heal the soul."

How often are people cured today? How often is God given the praise for that healing? All too often we (humans) chalk up healing to misdiagnosis or the proper regimen of medication. The healing power of Christ comes in many forms! I've seen it, it's real! But Christ does not only heal the physical diseases ~ he heals emotional sickness as well! Before we have a relationship with him, we are usually emotional wrecks. Our lives (for most) are in a terrible state of chaos, our stress levels are through the roof and our world begins to crumble around us! We reach out to a hand that has always been there - finally! We grab hold of it and begin a journey of the most amazing love we have ever imagined. We become friends and confidants. We rely on him for everything and graciously thank him for all he provides. Who are we to deserve such a wonderful and meaningful relationship?

We pray for an end to the war, for a stabilization to the economy, for peace in our families and we ask daily for his blessings on our lives and the lives of those around us! We've asked Christ into our lives and acknowledged his death and resurrection as our own saving grace because he's released us from the grave! He has healed us in the most important area of our lives - all he does is for us - to open our eyes to the mortality that is human existence, so that eternity becomes an infinity with him! Give him your all - he deserves it! The King of Kings works miracles yet today, just open your eyes and look around and see the Master's hand at work! Praise him for it, for he gives without discriminating, without prejudice and without pride! Love him, for his loves you unconditionally. Worship him - simply because you can! Follow him, because he calls you to. Die to him and live forever!
